About Rozengracht
Cannibale Royale Rozengracht is a late-night brasserie with a terrace in Amsterdam’s Jordaan, a few minutes’ walk from the Anne Frank House. It is the fifth Cannibale Royale location. The menu features steaks, burgers, ribs and vegetarian dishes. Pair them with the house beers: Cannibale Royale, a lemongrass pale ale brewed by Two Chefs Brewing, and Cannibale Blond by Walhalla Craft Beer. Cocktails are available too. It is the natural stop after a stroll along the Jordaan canals. The kitchen is open until 23:00, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Lunch is served from 12:00 at weekends. Dogs are welcome and takeaway is available via Uber Eats.

In the neighbourhood
The Jordaan is Amsterdam’s most famous old neighbourhood: narrow canals, hidden courtyards, brown cafés and small galleries. Right by Cannibale Royale Rozengracht are the Anne Frank House and the Westerkerk, whose tower is the tallest in the city centre. Before or after dinner, stroll along the Prinsengracht, Bloemgracht and Egelantiersgracht, or browse the boutiques and vintage shops of the Nine Streets. On Saturdays the Noordermarkt hosts its farmers’ market. If you want to go further, the Westergasfabriek is a few minutes away by bike.

We crossed this meat specialist restaurant during our visit and chose it following our appetite. And that was for the best. The staff was dynamic and welcoming ( despite we stop in front of it 10min before the opening ) We really enjoy the meal even if the cooking for my friend burger wasn't asked this is a litlle detail but here it was perfect. I liked the glazed ribs I had and all the sides as well. There is great selection of wine. I'm definitely recommending this place for meat lovers.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the short ribs—they were the best short ribs I’ve had in Amsterdam! They were incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I would also like to give a special mention to Jana for her outstanding service. She was friendly, cheerful, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. Her warm smile and positive attitude were one of the main reasons I left the restaurant so satisfied. Thank you, Jana, for making our experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

Overall, we had a nice evening. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I also liked the music selection, with hip-hop classics like Common and Tupac playing in the background. The food was good, but not perfect. The ribeye was slightly overcooked for my taste, and the chimichurri could have used a bit more acidity to make it fresher and more balanced. The broccoli was unfortunately quite dry. The only real downside was that we were seated in the back section of the restaurant, where the air felt very stuffy and uncomfortable after a while. All in all, a nice place with good service and a cool vibe, but the food and ventilation could be improved.
