Homebrew Competition 2025 – WEST COAST IPA EDITION

The time has come. You’re invited! On Sunday the 9th of November, Cannibale Royale proudly launches the 5th edition of its annual Homebrew Competition, a fiery tribute to the creative brewers at the stove or in the shed.

For five years now, Cannibale Royale has shone the spotlight on the passion and craftsmanship of hobby brewers from across the country. Each year, we discover new flavors, styles, and stories, celebrating them bigger than ever.

How does it work?

Every home brewer in the Netherlands or abroad is welcome to participate.  The best brews will advance to the grand finale on the 9th of November– a day filled with flavor explosions, good vibes, and raw competition.
The competition is exclusively for home brewers (no commercial breweries).

Theme for 2025: West Coast IPA.

Crisp Powerful. Hop-forward. The West Coast IPA is the style where character counts. A West Coast IPA is clean, clear, bitter, and aromatic. It’s a style where technique matters and balance is crucial. Perfect for home brewers looking to showcase their mastery of hops.

The prize?

The grand prize is no joke. The winner will collaborate with our friends at TwoChefs Brewing to brew their beer on a professional scale: 2500 liters of magnificent beer, to be served in all Cannibale Royale restaurants. From Amsterdam to Rotterdam. Additionally, the Homebrewer earns eternal bragging rights and a stage every brewer dreams of.

There’s also a People’s Choice Award, to be announced on the day itself, so bring as many fans as possible or make them there.
