Went here two times during our Amsterdam stay. The handsome guy actually remembered where we sat last time, and this time, he didn’t forget the fork! 😋 We were lucky haha! The food was really good. I especially liked the pork belly, garlic bread and brownie. Highly recommend it if you ever come here! 🇳🇱🍻

Good value for your money considering the location. The food was very decent and the staff attentive and delightful. I ordered my steak to be cooked rare and it arrived medium-well. When our attending waitress saw that I looked a bit irritated at the meat she rushed over and said: 'That's not rare, let's get you a new one!' even the chef showed up later and apologized. I didn't even have to say a word and I am so glad that I hadn't to, because it feels so bad to sent food back. In the end, sometimes food has to be thrown away because it's spoiled. It's unfortunate, but it happens in every kitchen. I liked my new steak a lot, the vegetarian burger was also good. Be aware that the Mac'n'cheese comes with some kick, which I liked a lot, but some people might be irritated by having a usually very unspicy dish to be hot. I had a Pornstar Martini that tasted a bit unbalanced and was very, very sweet. I switched to beer after that and the taste and selection of those were great. Our overall experience was very good and I'd be back in a heartbeat when I am in the neighborhood. The cannibale Royale is a hidden gem that's definitely worth a visit.

최고의 레스토랑! 직장동료 추천으로 처음 갔는데 이젠 암스에서 몇 년째 가고 있는 찐 맛집이에요. 부모님이랑 셀카 찍고 있는데 직원분이 다가와 가족 사진 찍어준다고 했을 정도로 정말 다들 친절했습니다 🙂 My parents flew all the way from South Korea to visit me, so I wanted to make sure they had the best experience possible in Amsterdam. A colleague recommended this restaurant, and I’m so glad we followed their advice bc it was absolutely worth it!! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They took the time to recommend the best dishes on the menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. The rib steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. What made the experience even more special was the thoughtful gesture from one of the staff members. While we were taking a selfie, she kindly offered to take a proper family photo for us. It’s little things like that that turn a good dinner into a genuinely heartwarming memory. ☺️ My parents said it was the most delicious meal they had in Amsterdam, and I couldn’t agree more. If you’re looking for a perfect spot for a meaningful family dinner or a place to share a special moment with loved ones, I highly recommend this restaurant! 🩷🩷

This restaurant is definitely easy to miss—hidden in plain sight—but once you find it, it has a quirky charm and a cozy, intimate vibe that sets it apart. We ordered the ribs, which were tender and had a subtle, smoky flavor—not overpowering, which I actually liked. That said, the portion size was a letdown. Both of our plates came out noticeably smaller than what’s pictured online… and even smaller than what the table next to us received. A little consistency and quality control would go a long way here. We also tried the lobster tail. While nicely cooked, it felt underwhelming for the price. The menu says 140g, but it looked and felt like less—hard to say, but it didn’t quite meet expectations. They accept split bills if you come with friends. Overall, there’s potential here. The food tastes good, the ambiance is charming, but they need to work on delivering what’s promised—especially when it comes to portions.

All around an awesome stop. I have the classic burger and it had so much flavor. It was a great piece of meat. The staff was super kind and the bar tender was awesome. He was very go lucky and outgoing to everyone. The atmosphere of the place is pretty chill/social. Darker with music playing. Awesome decor with vintage style pictures all over the wall. Definitely worth a stop

Returned after years and it is just as tasty as ever. The food is consistently outstanding and the service is also good. The ‘Le Modeste’ is incredibly tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the sauces they used to serve, but now they offer chimichurri, which is nice too. The fresh, tangy and herby flavor is perfectly complemented by the meat and pickled onions.

I had a meal with friends. I ordered the pork ribs, and the portion was enough to make a girl feel very full. The ribs were grilled quite well, and the barbecue sauce on top was very fragrant. Paired with the side barbecue sauce, which added a tangy flavor, it was really delicious. My friend’s steak was also very tender and tasty. The sweet potato fries did not disappoint either. The Dutch really know how to make fried foods. Maybe it’s also because I personally love sweet potatoes, so I gave it a high rating. After all, it’s not easy to make this dish taste bad.

Simply amazing! Jacky and Maxime were absolute superstars. We were a group of 11! Everyone’s food came out perfect! The service was beyond excellent. Food was delicious. They were so kind to our kids and our dog! We’re visiting Amsterdam for a long weekend and have already booked for the whole group one more night for dinner 🥳 Do not come to Amsterdam and not try this place!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible experience at Cannibals Royale in Amsterdam! 🏙️✨ Visited with friends, and it was absolutely lovely. The atmosphere and vibe are super relaxed, making it a perfect spot to unwind. 🕯️ The food is out of this world. 🌟 vegetarian offering. I was so impressed by the options; I didn’t feel left out at all! 🥗💚 And let’s talk about the desserts… divine is the only word! 🍰😋 The staff and service? Spot on. Friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. 🙌 Can’t wait to come back!

Very good meat dishes. We were a group of 4 adults and two kids and had a lot of fun (pre ordered table). The plateau de cannibal for two and L'Incroyable steak were very tasty, Lobster tail a bit small. Kids might not find something if they don't eat burgers etc. Chicken wings and fries are also good.

It is the best restaurant for steaks and ribs in Amsterdam. I had the beef short rib with a side of fries. It is one of the best ribs I have ever had. Also, the fries are the best fries I’ve had in Amsterdam. They were thin, crispy, and fresh. The service was very good and quick, and the restaurant’s location is great. To be honest, even the price is great for a steakhouse. I highly recommend it, and I’ll visit it again in my next trip to Amsterdam.

I am not a meat eater, but my boyfriend is. He said his bavette was really good. I had an amazing lobster tail. It was cooked properly and really tender. All the sides were a nice addition too. The corn was lovely, but it could use some more salt. I really love the cozy and homey style of the restaurant. Will come again.

We had the caesar chicken sandwich and the cheese steak sandwich, and both were very good. The chicken sandwich had a really nice sauce, and the cheese steak was tasty, but it could have had a bit more meat. Portions of fries are quite large; one portion would have been more than enough for the two of us. The cheesecake was okay, but we didn’t enjoy the base. Service was friendly, and the decor is different and interesting. I would come back for dinner for sure.

There was an event nearby that we were attending in the evening, and we thought we’d grab a quick dinner beforehand. There happened to be one table left for two, and the service was very fast and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious! We had a Le Classique and an L’Excentrique burger, and for dessert, we shared the selection platter, which was not only tasty but also a huge portion. We enjoyed divine flavours in a pleasant atmosphere with great service. Highly recommended!

I had a really good experience at Cannibale Royale in Amsterdam. The quality of the meat was great—tender, and cooked just right. The service was also nice, with friendly and welcoming staff. Good cocktails card. Liked homemade fries. The Caesar salad was good, though I’d suggest using a little less mayonnaise—just a recommendation for the chef. Also tried the baked Camembert, which I liked, though I prefer a milder taste. The spiciness might have been the chef’s choice, but I would have preferred it less spicy. Overall, a positive experience. A solid restaurant!

The place is very charming and cosy, with a great table layout. The staff is very friendly and takes care of their customers. With regards to the food, it was delicious and very tasty, I completely recommend the 300gr steak and the canibale burger. I ordered an Espresso Martini as dessert, and there is a lot to improve, it has a very coffee watery taste, missing out the right proportion of the cafe liquor. Other than that, 100% recommend and I will go back for sure.

Such a great place! The ONLY place we found in the area where they still were serving food past 11pm (23:00). Highly recommend! Mark it as there is NO place that serves food that late! And everything was delicious (a gem for a meat lovers)! 10/10! There was a bit of a delay with drinks and food for everybody as they were SO busy (and it’s understandable regarding the delay). The place was packed at midnight. Interesting eclectic interior, they played cool music too. Loved everything about this restaurant. A lot of locals and it is always a sign i am looking for when traveling 😉 our server Ivo was so busy and still was friendly, professional and attentive! Will be back for sure when in Amsterdam next time. I also liked that they have suggestions for beer/wine in the menu next to a position you choose. Great cocktail menu too.

A nice unpretentious American style pub with more options than you would ordinarily get in the US. The room and the atmosphere are exactly as expected and I guess you shouldn’t come for a local flair. The food is excellent and, again, recognizable. The burger has all the usual toppings, not overdone, the patty is steakhouse style and they will make it med rare if you want (I do want it on the rare side if the meat is good). The tartar, the nachos, the roasted chicken, the broccoli and cauliflower, the Mac and cheese, all were cooked exactly right so no complaints at all really, just pick according to your preference. Good and lively, reasonably priced. Recommended.

We made a reservation as we knew ot os quite buzy. We ordered Tomahawk steak, and it was delicious. Try the garlic bread and end the meal with their fantactic cheesecake. The waiters are very polite and helpful. Prices are reasonable for the high quality they offer.

We had dinner there yesterday. Although we didn’t have a reservation, we were welcomed warmly. We quickly got a table upstairs, just as we had hoped. The staff were all very friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. With cocktails, drinks, food, and a small tip, we ended up paying around 100 euros — totally fair for what you get.

Good food, but the service needs improvement Overall, not a bad spot for dinner the food was quite good, and we actually came here twice. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We were a family of six, and not everyone spoke English fluently. We briefly switched to Russian to clarify the order with our parents, and although it only took a few seconds, we could clearly feel the irritation from the wait staff their disapproving looks were hard to miss. It’s a pity, because the food itself made a good impression. But the attitude from the staff made us feel a bit unwelcome.
